Motorola is finally teasing the imminent launch of the Moto X Force in India. The company has put up a teaser video on Twitter that highlights the smartphone s shock absorbent capabilities, and compares it to other flagship smartphones like the Apple iPhone among others.
Motorola stops short of revealing an exact date of launch, but IBNLive cites a source as saying that the company will be hosting an event onFebruary 2. This is much later than what Motorola s India GM Amit Boni was quoted as saying last month.
The publication s source also claims that Motorola is looking at pricing the Moto X Force somewhere around the Rs 50,000 mark. If Motorola sticks to this price range, it will be almost Rs 20,000 more than the flagship Moto X Style smartphone, which is priced at Rs 29,999 (16GB variant) and Rs 31,999 (32GB variant).
Motorola Moto X Force features: The smartphone s talking point is its near indestructible nature, which has been achieved by what Motorola calls ShatterShield technology. The company has essentially added a five-layer system that prevents the device from shattering. This system includes a proprietary hard coat for exterior protection, a shield for protecting the interior lens, dual touch layer for safeguarding touch-sensitivity and touchscreen, and an aluminum chassis. Motorola is so sure of its technology that it claims the screen won t crack or shatter for up to four years.
Motorola Moto X Force specifications: It features a 5.4-inch QHD (2560 1440 pixels) display, Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB and 64GB internal storage options, and a microSD card slot.
